Glenn Cunningham - MANAGING DIRECTOR
Glenn Cunningham has been directly involved with the underground black coal industry since he was sixteen years old, except for a five year diversion to Manage at Tasmania’s Beaconsfield Gold Mine in the mid Nineteen Eighties.
He is the Managing Director of Coalroc Contractors and a Director of Australian Conveyor Engineering (ACE). He has 2nd and 3rd Class Certificates of Competency in Coal Mining and is a Coal Mine Electrical Fitter.
With forty years experience in both the NSW and Queensland underground mining industry he is more than capable of leading Coalroc and ACE into the 21st Century.
Gerald Tinney - COMMERCIAL MANAGER
Gerald Tinney has been involved with the underground black coal industry for 16 years based in Mackay.
He commenced his career with Brecketts Pty Ltd as a trainee in 1987 before taking on the role of company accountant in 1989. Brecketts were a slag recovery contractor for BHP Steel at Port Kembla, Newcastle and Whyalla.
He relocated to Mackay in 1995 to take up a position with ACE Conveyors Pty Ltd.
Gerald commenced work as the Financial Controller with Coalroc Contractors Pty Limited when it first commenced operations in March 2001 and still holds this position as well as being an alternate Director of Coalroc.
Glen Sutton - NSW STATE MANAGER
Glen Sutton has a career in coal mining spanning thirty years in NSW and Queensland. A fitter by trade his work is primarily in the mechanical field of conveyor installation/maintenance as well as a general mining/longwall experience and now project management.
He has been with Coalroc almost ten years and moved back to NSW as State Manager five years ago to lead Coalroc and ACE into new operations in NSW
JOHN CLACK - DIRECTOR - ACE (AUSTRALIAN CONVEYOR ENGINEERING)
John is a Mechanical Engineer and Conveyor Design Engineer whom has specialised in the design and manufacture of engineered conveyor systems and materials handling equipment for over 30 years. He pioneered underground longwall conveyor design including Loop Take-Up systems, winches and VSD development. His designs are utilised by a range of clients across Australia and overseas including BMA, Shenhua, Xstrata, Anglo American Metallurgical Coal and Vale.
He is Co-founder and director of Australian Conveyor Engineering, a company he established in 1986 which was acquired by Continental Conveyor in 1997, before reforming as ACE in 2006. John has also been at the forefront of conveyor product development and has contributed to the development of Australian Standards for the conveyor industry.
Daniel Wilkins - PLANT & MACHINERY MANAGER
Daniel completed his Engineering Trade (Mechanical) with Mt Isa Mines in 1995 following which he then went on to gain experience with various Companies. These included Newlands Coal as a Fitter and Kestrel Mine as a Fitter Maintenance Planner. He then moved on to MTU Detroit for 18 moths as their service manager following this up with 5 years at DBT / Bucyrus as the Overhaul Manager. Daniel has also completed a Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management), S1,S2,S3. Daniel commenced with Coalroc Contractors in November of 2010 as their Plant & Machinery Manager and brings a wealth of experience and new ideas to the team.
